It was in Solesmes, France, a northern
region strongly marked by the history of the steel industry,
that AFFIVAL developed a revolutionary steel treatment process
in the early 1980's: cored wire.
The rest is history, the milestones in which are:

1981: First industrial production
in Solesmes, France
1984: Early commitment to
quality marks itself in the ISO 9002:1994 certification.
1985: The AFFIVAL Quality
is also available in the US with the creation of AFFIVAL
Inc. (USA).
1987: The most advanced
steel market in the world can benefit from the Affival quality
with the creation of AFFIVAL K.K. (Japan).
1989: AFFIVAL joins forces
with SKW, a German producer of ferro-alloys renowned for
its strict quality procedures.
1997: In order to better
serve the growing high-end markets in South-East Asia, AFFIVAL
KOREA Co. Ltd. is founded.
1999: AFFIVAL introduces
continuous feeding and blending of powders, improving homogeneity
and consistency of the cored wire.
2000: AFFIVAL introduces
production line parameter controls through computerization.
It enables a full traceability of coil parameters as well
as statistical analysis of process influence parameters.
2003: AFFIVAL is ISO9002:2000
certified.
